We want to be involved actively in local, state and national government.  Our goal is to restore to government what the founders wanted when they wrote the Constitution.

While our goals are still the same as when we started a year ago, the direction of our activities has  changed since the November election. We now are actively tracking voting records of Indiana representatives and senators, both state and Federal. We are becoming better informed about pending and proposed legislation.  We are educating members about the process of lobbying (which is what we all must be), issues such as Agenda 21, Islam, the Constitution, and the upcoming primary and following fall elections.  We have much to do and need people who are willing to become involved and contribute.

GOALS

  • To motivate individuals to defend liberty and our Constitutions through their involvement in the political process.
  • To empower individuals to stand united against a national government that operates beyond its Constitutional authority.
  • To educate the public on the Constitution, our Founding principles, and the political process.
  • To mobilize individuals to assert a unified, effective and influential voice in our Constitutional Republic.
  • To re-establish proper checks and balances between the federal and state governments.
  • To advocate for legislation in the Indiana General Assembly and U.S. Congress that is consistent with our charter and mission and the Constitution.
  • To engage in peaceful public discourse through protests, rallies, petitions, open debate, and personal interaction with our political representatives.
  • To share our work and vision with people of all races, religions, age groups, and civic and political affiliations, and invite their partnership and participation in the Tea Party movement.

The specific purposes of Wabash Valley TEA Party, Incorporated, shall include, without limitation, the following:

The Wabash Valley Tea Party believes in Constitutional government that works for the people, not against them. We believe that big government is not what is best for the American people. We believe that spending money we do not have is no way to insure a future for ourselves, our children, or our children's children. We believe that elected officials work for us - we do not work for them. We believe that government of the people, by the people and for the people should not perish from this earth.  We believe that through active participation and advocacy, we can make a difference!  We plan to meet those who want to represent us and support candidates that will adhere to the principles of government put forth in the Constitution. We want a better government, one that will once again make every American proud. We believe that by becoming more involved we can help change the nation's direction and restore the America we love.
