We had originally planned a debate with Rep. Bucshon, but he has to have surgery on March 9, so that has been moved to April 3.
Instead, we have invited Rupert Boneham, the Libertarian candidate for governor, to join us and answer questions. Rupert was on "Survivor". He has very definite stands on issues.

We will have two meetings in April - elections are near and time is of the essence.
The first meeting will be April 3, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at the VFW at 12th and Mulberry. Rep. Larry Bucshon has agreed to come. Candidates Kristi Risk and Dave Crooks have also been invited. A Lincoln-Douglas style debate will be held on that evening.
Rules of the debate are that no political material can be distributed before the debate. Signs and other political matter will not be allowed. The only video cameras that will be allowed will be the staffs of the candidates and the TEA Party representative. Press will also be allowed to film. Because time is limited, the audience will be asked to withhold applause until the end.
The second meeting will be April 10, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. We are negotiating with Sen. Lugar's office to get him here and we have invited Richard Mourdock, asking both men to participate in a Lincoln-Douglas type debate. Sen. Lugar's people are in the decision making process. The same rules will apply.
In the event, a candidate or candidates do not appear, the time will be given to the candidate who does appear and the event will be handled as the Jim Wallace debate was.

For the May meeting, we are trying to secure Herman Cain as a speaker. His topic will be "Where do we go from here?" and will deal with the November 2012 elections. This will be an admission event because we are anticipating that Mr. Cain will charge a speaker's fee and have other expenses. We are planning a dinner, catered, and estimate cost will be in the $25-$35 range.
We urge you to contact those who represent you to let them know how you feel about issues. Remember that a letter must be answered. E-mails are only tallied and results reported to the representative. Phone calls are tallied as well, and it is getting less frequent to talk to a person.
